We camp the night in the Eyre River bed and then make our way out of the Simpson Desert to Birdsville, the remote outback town that sits at the edge of the Simpson Desert.
We wind our way towards the coast and take in some old homestead ruins along the way.

We finally arrive at the most eastern point on the Australian continent, Byron Bay, some 6500 kilometres, and three weeks later, after starting our journey from Steep Point in Western Australia.
