Ep 114 | Seized Starter Motor, Again!

by Magnus September 27, 2018October 4, 2018

We finally arrive back at our beloved Nutshell. Fortunately she is in pretty good shape and the clove oil seemed to have kept most of the mould at bay.

“The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.  “

– William Arthur Ward

There’s loads of cleaning to be done. Magnus works on our engine, Izzy, yet again to try and get her running again, she’s got problems with her starter motor which is seized.

Thanks for watching our channel.

About Us

About Us

Our kids had left home and it was time for the two of us to head out into the world. We flew to the UK and bought a 70ft narrowboat. For a year we cruised the english waterways, with their beautiful canals and rivers. We checked out the tow path pubs. It was a wonderful experience.  Our next big step was swap steel for fibreglass. We found the perfect yacht, a 43 foot Hans Christian Ketch, which had been neglected and floating at anchor for over 3 years. SV Nutshell was in need of plenty of TLC. Our plan is to sail her back to Australia, the long, long way, exploring the many places we come across. We'd love you to join us on our travels as we check out the islands, towns and villages along the way, and search for local ales to sample.
